Get to Know Us
Chiropractic is regulated in the UK by the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). To practice in the UK chiropractors must be registered with the GCC. All of our chiropractors are registered members of the GCC, the British Chiropractic Association, and the Royal College of Chiropractors.
Paul Allison, Principal Chiropractor
Paul would like to welcome you to his family run clinics. Although Paul now has over 45 years of hands-on therapy experience and 32 years as a fully qualified chiropractor, his journey toward chiropractic care started at an early age, having a back injury at the tender age of six. For many years he just lived with daily pain as nothing seemed to help until, at the advice of an enlightened orthopaedic surgeon, Paul went to a chiropractor. Several months later he had the first pain free days he could remember. A few years later that same chiropractor gave Paul the prospectus for the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic and a letter of recommendation.
Professional sports players have made up only a small percentage of Paul’s long experience. Since qualifying in 1992, Paul has continued to undergo training and education including: completing the full postgraduate course in Sacro-occipital technique including headache treatment and migraine prevention, the foundation course in Medical Acupuncture with the British Medical Acupuncture Society, a year of courses focused on treating shoulder and arm problems, several workshops in Hendrickson method, which has helped him develop a gentle and safe way of treating sciatica and leg pain, chiropractic care of pregnant women, and chiropractic care of the elderly. As a keen skier and walker, Paul is experienced in treating knee, calf and foot problems. With this long experience and training, Paul brings chiropractic care to a very wide range of people and problems, from acute sudden injuries to long-standing and stubborn chronic conditions. Paul now has a particular interest in helping people as they age, with many patients in their later years still able to enjoy life to the full, with a little help from our team.
Before qualifying as a chiropractor, Paul worked in both the NHS and private health and care settings including Radiography, Pathology, operating Theatres, Pharmacy, mental health care and care of the elderly, as well as being a successful part-time Massage and Sport therapist. This wider experience of health care helps Paul to understand the complex needs and challenges of truly caring for the individual. After 45 years of hands on therapy, his passion for helping people remains as strong as ever.
When not working, Paul and his family are keen skiers, walkers, and lovers of mountains, lakes and wild places.
Charlotte Park, Chiropractor – Beverley Clinic
Charlotte feels that the best thing about being a chiropractor is working with her head, her hands and her heart. After graduating from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, in 2014 Charlotte developed a special interest in pregnancy care. In particular, she enjoys helping patients to understand how and why the body changes during pregnancy and why this can cause discomfort. She has recently undertaken a variety of extra courses to further her knowledge of women’s health and menopause and how this can impact musculoskeletal health. She will continue to build upon this over the next year and is also keen to broaden her understanding of the role of nutrition in women’s health.
In Charlotte’s spare time, she is a keen road and track racing cyclist.
Kristian Araneda, Chiropractor – Beverley Clinic
Kristian is originally from Norway. Growing up he loved science and always wanted to study medicine but when my mum had a serious car accident it was a chiropractor that helped her return to normal life and he realised that chiropractic this was the profession for him!
Over the next 3 years, Kristian will be working towards his FICS qualification, which is an exclusive international sports certification. This will further his ability to deliver the most appropriate treatment for sports injuries and help to enhance sports performance naturally. You can read more about this qualification here
Kristian felt privileged to treat athletes in the polyclinic at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham, where he worked alongside doctors, physiotherapists and podiatrists. He worked throughout the Rugby League World Cup 2022 for the Jamaican team, nicknamed the Reggae Warriors.
When not working, Kristian prefers to be outdoors and enjoys keeping fit.
