What to expect on your first visit
Please bring with you:
- A list of any prescription medication that you are currently taking
- A copy of any relevant X-rays or MRI reports that you may have
- If you would like to bring someone with you, such as a friend or family member, please feel free to do so. We are happy to accommodate.
We ask that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time to read and complete a few pages of paperwork. This also allows you time to relax and let our friendly reception staff familiarise you with the clinic and answer any initial questions that you may have. We do not ask anyone to get changed but we do request that you remove outdoor shoes and leave them in a cubicle outside of the treatment room. We do this for the purpose of hygiene. You can keep your socks on in the treatment room.
The chiropractor will take a full case history. Some of the questions may not seem important but they will help your chiropractor to establish an overall picture of your health and determine whether chiropractic care is appropriate for you.
Your chiropractor will make their own assessment based on the case history, examination and or special tests. They will thoroughly explain their findings to you before you give your consent to commence with treatment.
If chiropractic is not the best option for you we will help you to choose the best way forward.
